The Haunted Libraries of Pittsburgh

Carnegie Library, Mount Washington Branch

This library opened its doors in the summer of 1900. Physically, little has changed. The circulation desk is the same one that patrons saw when they walked in the doors on opening day. The creaks, groans, and wheezes that are heard are typical for a building that is more than 110 years old, but there is something more. It is not unusual for the librarians to feel as sense of dread when they are the last one out for the night.

About Haley Whitehall

I am a historical fiction author from Washington state. I write gritty novels set in the 19th century and offbeat romance. I like to explore all the aspects of human nature. Think Mark Twain with a little more faith.
