Haley Whitehall – Press Kit
It’s always an honor for me to share, speak, and write for new audiences. These are my standard bios and headshots – if you need more information, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Haley Whitehall has been obsessed with telling stories since the age of four. Her addiction to the Civil War era came later, but proved no less potent. She earned her B.A in history from Central Washington University. Pairing her two passions, she writes historical fiction with a touch of faith. She gives a voice to the underdog with her cats supervising. Mark Twain serves as her writing mentor. She blogs at HaleyWhitehall.com or follow her on Twitter @HaleyWhitehall.
Bio with a Few Fun Facts:
Haley Whitehall always wanted to be a writer. Problem was people told her it wasn’t a career; undaunted she went to Central Washington University and majored in her other favorite subject: history. She has social studies education and library endorsements. Now she pairs her two passions into writing historical fiction set in the nineteenth century U.S. The complexities of human nature and forgotten history inspire her characters and stories. Her novels involve an underdog as she finds common people fascinating. She is the author of Living Half Free and Grits and Glory (Expanding Horizons Press 2012). Haley loves coffee a little too much–perhaps that is why she is a night owl. Cats, a good book, and a view of the mountains make her pretty happy, too.
